Miss Reagan

Hello! My name is Reagan Proctor. In the classroom I go by Miss Reagan. I graduated from KSU in May 2013 and this is my first year teaching! I was raised in Kansas and have lived all over!

I have wanted to be a preschool teacher for most of my educational career- I love the changes in behavior and development that you see in the birth-5yrs range. Children go through so many milestones at such a quick pace during these years- there is never a dull moment! My classroom is based on respect. I give the children the same respect that I expect and receive from them. I also try to instill a sense of responsibility and independence in my students though class jobs, problem solving techniques and giving them choices about their day.

I work with Vanessa Robinson. She goes by Miss Vanessa in the classroom. She has been working with preschoolers for 6 years. She is an avid KU fan (which makes for lots of great conversations in our KU/KSU classroom!). She loves animals, anything that crawls and she loves to work outside! The classroom almost always has a bug in a jar for the science area thanks to Miss Vanessa!

Our classroom is one of two preschool classrooms at Quincy Elementary. You can reach us at 785-235-7420 ext 7461. Our classroom has 16 children and we spend our day in several different experiences. We have three short group times a day, a small group activity, nap, breakfast, lunch recess and choice time. Most of our day is spent in centers for the children to explore and create. We follow the curriculum of Scholastic Big Day, Handwriting Without Tears, Everyday Math, and Second Step.
